here’s how I would design a setting for a jar lid glass bead inlay integrating a sawn pin stem. this example has an extra tab at the bottom for a drop charm put one at the top to make a bail for a pendant 
This is a cold-connect-ready pin stem drilled and sawn from sheet using a paper clip wire for the stem, I would attach this to my jar lids before beginning inlay process.
